Those were days I thought were the best times of our life. Being high school sweethearts to a married couple was a rough road but truly a worthy one. We had so many obstacles along the way but we faced them all together. Finally, when we got married, it was obvious that we need to celebrate that with the best honeymoon.
Randeep and I are from Amritsar, Punjab. We always wanted to visit the God’s own country. We decided to spend our honeymoon at Munnar in the Idukki district of Kerala and chose from a friend’s recommendation, Rivulet Resorts. The pictures online and rave reviews heightened our expectations and let’s put it out there, they delivered them all and went above and beyond. We chose a 4-night stay package and built an itinerary around exploring Munnar and resort activities.
On the day of our arrival, we were welcomed traditionally to our premium suite that had the scenic beauty of Munnar alongside river Muthirappuzha flowing in its full glory. The music of the river flow in the background was truly an added benefit which enhanced our experience.
We were making fond memories to cherish for life while doing activities like bamboo rafting across the river, visiting the tea and spice plantations, campfires and getting lost in the tasty Kerala cuisine. We had so many moments during our stay that solidified our bond with each other and made us look forward to the happy life ahead. The luxurious rooms equipped with all facilities, beauty and cleanliness as advertised, coupled with excellent hospitality made our experience easy, wonderful and exciting. We are sure that we will come back in the years to come, hopefully with our children to bond and build lasting memories as a family.
